This is a playful collection of experiments in different uses of language, symbols, style and structure to float a thought that might otherwise be lost in a standard poem.
There is a Japanese art called kintsugi, meaning golden joinery, the art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer, often dusted with gold, silver or platinum powder. This is based on a philosophy of seeing beauty in imperfection and finding beauty in the face of lifes trials by healing and rebuilding.
These experiments break apart traditional forms and reassemble them in way I hope people find amusing, but more to the point, inspire serious reflection on the fragility of identity and love.
